The weather situation for the coming week in eastern Austria will initially start with a calm high pressure situation, while a frontal passage with rain is expected from the west on Monday. According to the Geosphere forecast, the weather will calm down temporarily on Wednesday with a light southerly foehn wind. The daily highs will be between 19 and 24 degrees Celsius.

To the west of the Arlberg, the clouds will become denser on Monday during the course of the day, and it will rain frequently in the afternoon under the influence of the cold front. Otherwise, fields of cloud will move across the sky, but they will often let the sun through in the meantime and only bring a little precipitation. The friendliest weather will be to the east, where it will be widely dry. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from the southeast to south, with occasional light foehn winds in the mountains. After early temperatures of six to twelve degrees, highs will range between 18 and 24 degrees, depending on the sun and clouds.

In the first half of the day on Tuesday, it will rain quite frequently under the cold front in the western half of the country. In the run-up to the cold front, the tendency for thundery showers is most likely to increase slightly in the south-east. By midday, the precipitation will move further east, but the clouds will clear from the west and the sun will appear. The wind will be weak to moderate, mainly from the west. After eight to 13 degrees, temperatures will mostly only rise to 15 to 19 degrees.

Wednesday will be somewhat unsettled. Most of the time, sun and clouds will alternate, and rain showers can be expected from time to time, especially in the southern half of the country. In the north, however, it should remain largely dry. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from southerly directions. Early temperatures will be between seven and 13 degrees, with daytime highs reaching 16 to 22 degrees.

Extensive and increasingly dense clouds will move through from the west on Thursday. Rain showers are to be expected, especially in Vorarlberg and increasingly in the south. On the northern side of the Alps it will still be slightly foehn-like, so it will remain largely dry. The wind will blow briskly from the south in the mountains and on the eastern edge of the Alps, otherwise the wind will remain weak to moderate and after early temperatures of eight to 15 degrees, 17 to 24 degrees can be expected.
After the passage of a disturbance zone, there will still be some clouds on Friday and rain showers are still to be expected, most of them probably in the south, but the location of the rain focus is still very uncertain. However, the sun will occasionally shine through everywhere. The wind will blow weakly to moderately from south to west. After ten to 16 degrees in the morning, daytime highs of 15 to 23 degrees are forecast.
